Commentary:
"Holding On" is a really old song I wrote when I was 17. It's not an amazing song by any means, but it was the first song I decided to label a "Five Times August" song. I recorded it in my bedroom through a minidisc recorder then dubbed over more guitar parts on my computer, which was how I used to record my early songs. The lyrics for this song aren't very good, but hey, I was just figuring things out! "Making glass with the sands of time" -- oh how deep! The melody wasn't too bad though."
